This intensive two-day programme equips participants with the expertise to transform their daily productivity and strategic insights using Microsoft 365 Copilot. Delve into the core mechanisms behind conversational AI, master advanced prompting techniques across familiar M365 applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and critically evaluate Copilot’s outputs for accuracy and relevance. Participants will also navigate the crucial ethical landscape of AI integration, understanding potential biases and societal impacts, to unlock unprecedented organisational and individual potential responsibly and effectively.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Examine core generative AI principles and apply them to identify strategic Microsoft 365 Copilot use cases for enhanced productivity
• Formulate effective prompts for Copilot in various M365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive and SharePoint) for enhanced work efficiency
• Adjust prompting techniques to improve output quality and mitigate issues based on Copilot’s known limitations and potential biases
• Analyse Copilot’s performance metrics and evaluate how specific prompt variations influence overall output quality and relevance
• Identify the ethical and societal impacts of integrating Copilot into professional workflows and propose best practices for responsible adoption

Prerequisites

• 1 year of working experience in any sector
• Proficient with a computer and Microsoft applications; and
• Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) 5 or equivalent

*Learners without the right WPLN or equivalent qualifications can be accepted if they have at least 3 years of relevant working experience, subject to the MR’s approval.
