Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Articulate the fundamental elements of a prompt and the overarching principles of how prompts shape AI-generated outputs
• Discern common prompt misuses and risks and how to prevent them
• Implement basic anonymisation methods when interacting with generative AI tools to protect sensitive data and information
• Formulate different prompts using fundamental prompt design techniques
• Formulate effective prompts by applying different techniques and best practices
• Modify prompt designs to tailor AI instructions for diverse tasks and achieve desired outcomes
• Troubleshoot common issues encountered when working with AI tools and their outputs

Pre-requisites

• 1 year of working experience in any sector
• Proficient with a computer and Microsoft applications; and
• Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) 5 or equivalent

*Learners without the right WPLN or equivalent qualifications can be accepted if they have at least 3 years of relevant working experience, subject to the MR’s approval.
